The Core of Your Roll Product
A plastic core is the cylindrical winding tube at the center of every roll of film, tape, paper, or textile. It determines how evenly your material winds, how stable it remains during transport, and how smoothly it unwinds on your production line. A poorly made core leads to telescoping, winding deviation, and material waste.
We manufactures precision-extruded plastic cores in ABS, HDPE and custom compounds. Our cores are produced to tight dimensional tolerances with consistent wall thickness and smooth interior surfaces — eliminating dust generation and protecting high-value films during winding.
The two most common industry sizes are 3-inch (76.2mm ID) and 6-inch (152.4mm ID) inner diameter. We stock these in multiple wall thicknesses and can cut to any length from 2mm to 450mm. Custom diameters, ribbed interiors, notching, and double-sided starter tape application are available.

ABS
Rigid, dimensionally stable. High precision injection-grade. Ideal for cleanroom and electronic film cores.
Wall: 4-12mm · Ribbing available
HIPS
High-impact polystyrene. Economical, lightweight. Excellent for general-purpose film and tape winding.
Wall: 2-10mm · Standard choice
HDPE
Moisture-resistant, chemically inert. Flexible yet strong. Suitable for outdoor and wet-environment winding.
Wall: 2.8-5mm · Cost-effective
PVC
Rigid, flame-retardant, excellent chemical resistance. Used for industrial tape and protective film cores.
Wall: 2.8mm+ · VP75/VP150
PP
Higher temperature tolerance than PE. Weldable and autoclavable. Suitable for medical and laboratory film cores.
